The key immigration programs that get you PR in Canada are Express Entry, QSWP and PNP. You can choose any of these programs to get permanent residency in Canada. Express Entry System: Launched in January 2015, Express entry is now a widely popular and most organized immigration system of Canada. The process to apply in express entry is simple.
Nowadayspeople want to live with a better standard. Most students going for highereducation tend to select the country and the university based on followingcriteria they carry. This is based on survey conducted by me on many studentswho want to study abroad. Even though this covers very less number of student’sview but generally I think we can agree with this priority list since even I keptmy priority list almost same as this while choosing my education destination. Thepriority mentioned below is from highest to the lowest. Also thisproves the reason the number of application in UK has reduced by almost 33% ina year, after the visa restriction was introduced. Students have only 4 monthsto look for job after completing their education and there you have the result:University of Manchester (a top tier university in the world in UK) is lookingto fill up its international student’s quota till June.
UK’s loss is gain formany countries. UK which is still the second preference for students for highereducation has become less popular within a span of two years after visarules were changed.
So which countries have actually benefitted and where you canimmigrate and settle easily? Let’s find out!!!!. CANADA- The instant UK visa rule changed, the application for Canadian universities rose up rapidly.
People don’t carewhether Canada is cold or not but they are tempted with its visa rules and PR(permanent residency) system. Being close to USA and one of the multiculturalcountries and voted as one of the best countries to live in students are flocking to Canada, no matterwhether they get their choice of courseand university or not. Finish a one year course and you get one year visaextension. Finish two year course you get three year visa extension to look forjob. If you get a job, you apply for PR after 6 months and sometimes immediatelyand within two years you become Canadian Citizen as opposed to 10+ years to geta USA Green Card.
How exactly they calculate the eligibility for Canadian PRwill be covered in another blog post. Australia- Students don’t care muchabout racism. Students don’t care about the heavy tuition fee.
But they do careabout the 2-3 year Visa extension after finishing their education. With a highstandard of living and better job prospects and easy PR rules, Australia is thirdmost famous study abroad destination among students in Asia. You can get yourPR in Australia within two years as well.
But get ready to spend 0USD foreducation. New Zealand- New Zealand’s populationis aging day by day and the government wants young students to come andcontribute to their country’s economy. With this motto the PR rules in thecountry has been relaxed and by 2015 they want to increase their educationsector by 25%.
You can study in New Zealand with a minimal tuition feescompared to Australia and settle there after your PR is processed within threeyears. And you get visa extension for 2 years, same as the kangaroos. Singapore- Study in Singapore and if you getinto the job sector you can apply for PR and your PR application is processedwithin nominal time. The time span ranges from 6 months to one year!!! But not all the applicants are given visa and there are regulations. I’llcover those in another post.
Ireland-If any country has benefited more than any other after UK visa changes its Ireland. You get one year visaextension after finishing your one year program in Ireland.
And it takes 36months (3 years) to process your PR/Green Card application. Even thoughcurrently Ireland job market is in downturn, few sectors like informationtechnology, engineering and medical are still intact. This ends thelist of countries where you can settle much easily. By the way don’t even think about otherEUROPEAN Countries if your aim is to settle down. Visa regulations are quitestrict and local language of the country has to be known to apply for GreenCard. Also processing time is very high. But there is certain employment cardwhich allows you to work as much as you want even though you can’t enjoy thebenefits of a citizen.
For example, blue card in Germany. I’ll cover that innext blog post. Until then Sayonara!!!! Please do comment.
